As VP of Software Development, I led the engineering organization behind Rev’s legal AI assistant, an LLM product built with RAG and multi-agent workflows on top of Rev’s speech-to-text.

The work
Rev built its business on accurate transcription. The legal assistant builds on top of it, applying LLMs to the recordings and transcripts legal teams already work with. My job was to lead the organization that built it: set technical direction, structure the teams, and make delivery predictable while the technology changed under us month to month.
How I led it
- Reliability first. In legal work a confident wrong answer is worse than no answer. Retrieval, evaluation and guardrails were treated as product features, not afterthoughts.
- Clarity and ownership. Engineers knew what we were building, why, and who owned what, so they could move with urgency.
- Applied AI that earns its place. We used LLMs, retrieval and agent workflows where they made the product measurably better, not because they were available.
